Please come out and support Mountain Child, a non-profit organization providing aid, education, and hope to disadvantaged children in the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. The organization was founded by Jack Reid, the man who pastored the English speaking church I attended while in Korea called "The Nations". Now he is pretty much full-time raising support for and heading up Mountain Child. The need is so great, and the stories of what Mountain Child has already been able to accomplish - including building an orphanage and school, creating systems to supply water to remote areas where some people had never showered in their lives, and saving lives with medical supplies - are nothing short of awe inspiring. But there is still SO much more to be done. Please visit www.mountainchild.org to learn more about what has already happened there, and what still needs to be done. You can help by simply purchasing a ticket, coming to a beautiful resort in Laguna Beach, eating a lovely dinner, and listening to some amazing stories. You'll also learn a lot about a fascinating part of the world from people who have been there. This will be a fascinating and diverse group of attendees, as well, so it won't be boring! And, of course, I will be performing the Mountain Child theme song, "Carry Hope", as well as playing background music with my band for your listening pleasure.
